1 in 5 teenagers have thought about suicide, about 1 in 6 teenagers have made plans for suicide, and more than 1 in 12 teenagers have attempted suicide in the last year. As many as 8 out of 10 teenagers who have commited suicide tried to ask for help in some way before committing suicide. Reblog this if you’re always here to listen.

I also had a time when I thought absolutely no one cared about me. This makes me so sad :/ But overcoming depression has made me become more responsive when other people seem to be in a bad mood/ depressed. If you want to vent, I listen to you and let you speak of all your worries. I usually stay for very long and even miss my plans when I feel like someone is unhappy. I do not want stories like this to continue happening. No one wanted to sit there and listen to me be very cynical about everything because they couldn’t be strong for me. But now I know how to be strong for others. Because my strength no longer lies within myself, but in Jesus.
The thing is I don’t blame the person who responded for not knowing that this guy needed her, i’m assuming it’s a girl. It’s hard to notice that someone else needs you when you are hurting yourself. Being depressed makes you focus on yourself and not other people. So I just really hope she’s not here feeling guilty that she was not sensitive enough to others to realize that someone else needed her to be strong and help him.
A while back a former gang member came to our church. He was heavily tattooed and rough around the edges, but he was curious to see what church was like. He had a relationship with Jesus and seemed to get fairly involved with the church. After a few months, I found out the guy was no longer coming to the church. When asked why he didn’t come anymore, he gave the following explanation: “I had the wrong idea of what church was going to be like. When I joined the church, I thought it was going to be like joining a gang. You see, in the gangs we weren’t just nice to each other once a week—we were family.” That killed me because I knew that what he expected is what the church is intended to be. It saddened me to think that a gang could paint a better picture of commitment, loyalty, and family than the local church body. The church is intended to be a beautiful place of community. A place where wealth is shared and when one suffers, everyone suffers. A place where when one rejoices, everyone rejoices. A place where everyone experiences real love and acceptance in the midst of great honesty about our brokenness. Yet most of the time this is not even close to how we would describe our churches.
Does anyone know any good Christian artist or songs I can buy, thanks.
A Little girl, 3 yrs. old picked up by a man driving a gray car, license plate: Quebec 72B 381. Canada. Reblog this. It could save her. The Kidnapping is recent so do it, 3 seconds will not kill you. If it were your child.
If you left the Church to get away from hypocritical people, you should also quit your job, drop out of school, disconnect yourself from all your friends and family, and lock yourself in your room while you’re at it. There will be flaws wherever there are humans. And, in fact, the Church is the only establishment on earth with the solution for this issue.
